Flashback: Back in August, we endured through a three-flight journey to Cyprus, experiencing the strange and unfamiliar sounds of life in a brand new city and with only the clothes on our backs. (All seven pieces of luggage did not arrive until a week later.) I vaguely remember the first day or two in Cyprus, as the entire family fell in and out of consciousness from jet lag.
On that first full day, the heat outside literally drained the life out of the boys. We all needed some nourishment. Prof took the family to Get Fresh. As soon as we walked in, the immediate blast of a/c gave us much relief. Prof ordered freshly squeezed pear juice, a club sandwich, and a cup of soup for Linus.
That was the last time we ate at Get Fresh as a family.
Fast forward to April 3, 2013. Piano Man had spring break, and he wanted to see Prof’s work space. So we made a visit.
I don’t know about you, but I cannot read, research, and write for hours and hours on end. That takes a lot of patience and determination to write a book. I am so proud of my man.
Restaurant Review: Get Fresh
Then we stopped by for lunch at Get Fresh.
We ordered the same club sandwich, homemade country chicken soup, and a melon iced smoothie.
The kids enjoyed lunch with Prof, since they rarely get to eat with him during his workday.
And though the entire family was still recovering from a cough, cold, stomach bug, we were blessed to have another lunch date at Get Fresh.
Conclusion: If you like freshly made products, then you should try Get Fresh. The juices and smoothies are delicious, and the sandwiches and soups are melt in your mouth reminders of good wholesome meals from home. Yummy!
They also have a section of homemade jams and chutneys that look scrumptious, and don’t forget that they can deliver right to your door.
