Visit Go Ape Zipline and Adventure Park

by Traveling Seouls

Our little man wanted to do a family activity on his birthday. You know the pandemic put a damper on social gatherings. So the usual birthday party at the park to get to know families and let the kids just be kids thing was out. Hopefully, by the time you read this post, we are well on our way out of the struggles with the pandemic. Regardless, this outdoor activity is perfect for a day out with family (and soon friends) young and old.

We had done an adventure park before. Back in our days of living in Hungary, we stumbled upon Challengeland Adventure Park while traveling on the Children’s Railway. We’ve also done an adventure park in Grand Rapids, Michigan, but I would skip the one in Michigan (if I had to do it all over again.)

If I had to compare the adventure park in Budapest to the ones in the U.S., hands down Budapest is the clear WINNER. But for a little boy who was excited to get outside of the house, Go Ape Zipline and Adventure Park made the boy happy, so it made us happy.

But man, it was not cheap. I tried looking high and low for discount codes. The only way you can get one is if you get one from a friend or just go. Once you are done with your time slot, they give you 20% discount passes to come again within the same season.

TRAVEL TIP: If it’s your birthday, you can get a birthday sticker. I don’t know how excited your little ones get about stickers, so….

TRAVEL TIP: I don’t know if it’s a pandemic thing, but you can only book online with a specific time slot. So depending on the season, you may need to think about your family plans and book far enough ahead. Thus, plan accordingly. (Update: I just checked the website, it looks like there is a 10% coupon code for a group of 4 or more, weekdays only. So check the website every so often.)

We booked a Treetop Journey, which is a one-hour course for younger ones. There is the Treetop Adventure, which is about a two-hour course is for those who are taller, say more like older elementary students/teens to adults. Apparently, they have ax throwing, too, if you’re into that sort of thing.

So what are you waiting for? Book those tickets and get to tree hopping!!! Enjoy!
