Raise your hand if you love Korean food? If that’s you, then what better way to eat Korean food than in the great outdoors?

As a family of four, planning a Korean meal while camping isn’t too difficult. For our beach camping trip at Mears State Park, we ate pork belly (aka 삼겹살, pronounced as samgyeopsal) with freshly cut cucumbers and roasted seaweed laver (aka 김, pronounced as geem/gim).

You have your grilled meats (aka Korean BBQ), fresh raw vegetables, kimchi, and rice. Voila! Your meal is complete.

But when you have a camping trip set for six families (like our trip to Ludington State Park), well, that takes more coordination. In fact, it was a major planning event. For our one meal together, we planned a Korean feast! We’re talking delicious Korean BBQ!
