Have you ever wondered what it’s like to eat Korean food in Prague?
Well, we did. We asked our Korean-American expat friend living in Prague to take us to a Korean restaurant. While there are several to choose from, this restaurant had decent reviews.
Our Order
To satisfy our boys’ cravings, we ordered bulgogi with an extra bowl or rice.
Our friend, J, ordered bibimbap, a specialty at Bibimbap Korea. While you cannot see it, I promise you that there is rice under the vegetables and beef.
Prof ordered a soondubujigae, while I ordered a tangsuyuk dish to round out our meals.
I liked how the sauce was separated from the fried pork. I can control how much sweet sauce, and also keep it nice and crispy. Some Korean restaurants serve tangsuyuk mixed with the sauce but wait for the other dishes to serve together. That means you can get some soggy tangsuyuk, depending on when you have your meal served.
While the place was pretty small, the servers spoke in English and a little Korean as well. One of the wait staff was a college student, studying Korean at a nearby university. While I have to admit that the bulgogi had too much ginger, which was “spicy” according to one my children, they were eating it right up until it was gone.
Several Korean families now living in the Czech Republic dined there for the evening, so it was nice to eat some authentic Korean food while in Europe.

The TangSuYook and the Soondubu look pretty on point! I always prefer the sauce on the side too. Only things missing are the Jjangmyeon to round out the tangsuyook and where’s the Bon Chon?
I haven’t seen any here…It might be a few years before Bon Chon chicken makes it to Budapest. But get the paprika chicken is fabulous. =)
