A Visit to the Camel Park in Cyprus

by Traveling Seouls

We thought we would have time for Piano Man to enjoy a camel ride in Cairo last month, but unfortunately, that didn’t happen. Instead, we promised Piano Man a ride at the Camel Park in Cyprus. We had heard of this place before because some friends on Facebook recently went on a visit. We decided on a whim to go after church one Sunday afternoon.

The weather report looked bleak as it had been raining during the week, but we decided to take our chances.

We entered the park and saw a plenty of fun things to do for the kids. After feeding some of the animals, we waited in line for the camel ride. Prof took Piano Man, and our friends took their daughter for a ride on an adjacent sitting camel. Linus looked on, desperately wanting to join in on the fun.

Prof and Uncle J said that the camel ride was a lot more bumpy and jerky than they imagined. Who would have guessed that a camel would be so strong and powerful? As the rain began to come down, the kids were glad they enjoyed their camel ride before the rain came pouring down.

We saw a white horse aggressively kicking for more free food. The kids rode a camel with the dads. And if you prefer, you can ride a little pony too.

Everyone at the park headed into the covered games area, but the rain did not deter our kids from having fun. They drove bumper cars and rode a very very slow motorcycle that was on its last legs of electricity.

Rain or shine, we had a blast! And if you come to visit the Camel Park, you’ll have a blast too!
